New Window Shopping
While in quarantine, there was very little to do on the weekends or evenings because you couldn't go anywhere; so you would start window shopping on your phone. That is what I would do with every intention of only window shopping, but when things started to go on sale, I couldn't resist pushing add to cart.
Nordstrom started their annual sale, and while on Like to Know app, I had seen some modern combat boots on one of the handles that I follow. I then did a specified search for combat boots and discovered these Jeffrey Campbell Craven buckled boots. My style is eclectic, but I have never really looked at a pair of boots like this and thought "I can pull those off" until I found these. I have no idea when I am going to be able to wear them, but I felt like when they went on sale, it was specifically for me! 2020 has put me out of my comfort zone since my schedule has totally been undone, so why not change up my pretty dresses with these boots? About a year ago, a friend, and sales person at Michael Kors has mentioned that they were going to do an event where you purchase a leather product and there would be a local artist would paint your pet on the purchased item. The event got pushed because of some logistics, but the thought of having my pup on a pair of shoes or bag was something that I now wanted. I have played around with the idea for about a year now. Why not try now? I started to search for a pair of shoes that I could actually paint on, and a pair of Adidas Stan Smiths seemed like the perfect pair of shoes to paint on. Then I researched leather paint which led me to Angelus products. I will say that I should have researched a little more when I purchased the paint, because come to find out I needed about 3 other products (one that takes the finish off in order to paint on the, one that thins out the paint, and one that refinishes). Currently, this is my weekend project, and more to come along with the images of the finished product, but if you feel like you would like to try your artistic hand at it, you can click the pics of the Adidas Stan Smith's and paint below to purchase.
Vici Collection is a weekly browsed website for me. There is always something new and fun on their site to purchase. One night, they were doing a promotion, and I found this high-low Millie top that felt super versatile to me for the summer; wear with leggings, jeans, shorts, and cigarette pants if I go back to the office workplace this summer. Stripes are classic with the twist of the high-low, and perfect for a summer day in the park or a dinner date with friends when we are ready to get back to a new normal. Prior to covid, I was searching for an eye shadow pallet that was mostly pink shades. I am not a brown eye shadow girl and everything that i was finding was one pink with 2 browns. I had been to Ulta and noticed this large pallet, and opened one of the tabs in my mind to save the info. While safety in place was happening, I continued my epic search while always referring back to the one at Ulta. I didn't find anything better, so while buying my shower products and other essential items, I clicked add to cart. I have worn only mascara for the last 3 months, but when I get back to being around people, I now have the one makeup product that I felt like I was missing. Click the image below if you have been missing it, too!
Out of boredom, I started to research some of the color depositing masks. I have previously posted about one brand in Masking It, but I also found another one from Ulta called KeraColor. They suggested that virgin hair would saturate, more than the previous one that I had used, on their site, so I bought a purple color. I have tried it once, but didn't really do much, so I haven't taken photos yet. It made my hair super soft though, so I will take that has a win! Check out the variety of colors that KeraColor has by clicking the image below, and take a chance. Change it up! When would be a better time than now just in case you hate the color?
