Savannah vs Nashville
Pre-covid, since that is how we now tell stories, one of my cousins, Kristyn, started to think up one of her crazy ideas; after a couple months of coivd, and hoping that it was only going to last a couple months, she threw out her crazy idea to all the girls in our family. This means, my aunts & cousins. Of course, since covid has continued, the conversation has kinda dimmed.
Her original thought was a girls trip. One that moms and daughters (and daughters-in-law) could all come together to share some experiences without kids or even some of life getting in the way. I don't know if any of us really knows how to do that, but it is worth a shot. Last week, I reached out to see if this girls trip needed to be put off to 2021 or if we were thinking it still might be possible for 2020. The possibility of 2020 is now more limited than it was in March, but we might still be able to pull it off.
Kristyn narrowed down the thought on where by saying that she would love to go to Savannah or Nashville. Which one would you choose?

Savannah
I have only ever driven through Savannah; I had a teacher in college that suggested that I transfer to Savannah College of Art & Design. When driving through Savannah, I have to say, you could get lost in moss covered, tree lined, cobblestone streets, but outside of that, I have no idea what else Savannah has to offer. So I have been doing some research:
There is a beach. From what I am reading Tybee Island is the place to hit if looking for a beach in Savannah.
There are shops sprinkled through the city, and all of us are some shoppers.
River Street has shopping, cobble stone, river walking and restaurant locations.
Brunching is a thing in Savannah, and I have never met a brunch I don't like.
Supposedly, ax throwing has even made it's way to Savannah, so why wouldn't a girls trip possibly include that?
So I have to say, Savannah is one of two locations because there is so much to do all within walking distance if needed & not too far if having to drive. If you have any other fun activities, things to experience or places that are a must in Savannah, please let me know.

Nashville
I have been to or driven through Nashville a number of times. The most memorable was for a friend's wedding that was a quick overview of what Nashville has to offer. We went to Broadway for the Bachelor party night where at some point, and we danced on the bar at Coyote Ugly (and for those of us that are in our 30's, it was something to mark off a bucket list). We went to the cutest little lunch spot, I believe, in Franklin after sleeping in a little after the fun that we had the night before. The wedding was at a historic mansion early Sunday, which gave us some time on Sunday evening to go down to The Grand Ole Opry area. Since I am no longer in my 20's, it would be interesting to go back and see Nashville from a new decade of my life. During my research, I found:
There are Grand Ole Opry tours (normally, so don't know how covid has really effected that) where you can walk the halls of Country Royalty
Brunch is also a go to for Nashville, assuming it is because it is a musician town and no one wants to get up early
Eat BBQ, which being a Texas girl, I'm always down for some good, local BBQ
Nashville's Farmers' Market is supposedly a must
Again, I know why Nashville is on the list, but no clue how we are going to pick between the 2 locations. We are going to have to draw out of a hat or something. If you have some input on things to do in Nashville, like Savannah, let me know.
